A Perfect Little Something believes very firmly that a woman's birth is hers- and any decision she makes whether it be medication,
home, hospital or birth center births, we as doulas are to respect it completely.
While our full training is utilized most in non-medicated births, if a mother chooses an intervention, we must continue
to support her. We do not take the place of the birth partner/husband/significant other or medical staff. We can enrich
their level of assistance according to the mother's wishes.
We also firmly adhere to the ideal "A Doula for every woman that wants one", and have a sliding scale fee as
well as volunteer births on a case-by-case basis to ensure that the client is not inhibited by their ability to pay.
